Mrs. Jennings invited two sisters to her London cottage. It was a great pleasure for
Marianne. Having come to London,
this girl wrote a series of letters to Mr. Willoughby. She was waiting for answers
every minute but received nothing. When they finally met, Mr. Willoughby
greeted Marianne reluctantly and coldly to her extreme distress. Soon Marianne received
a letter where her sweetheart told her that he felt sorry, he didn’t explain
his real feelings. He loved another lady and Marianne could only be a friend
for him. This girl was devastated and admitted to Elinor that she and Mr.
Willoughby had never been engaged. Once Colonel Brandon told Elinor the story
of his love and why he took care of a little girl.
Well done!
